Job description

  • Design and maintain comprehensive solution architecture and technical design documentation, while delivering robust integration and backend solutions for enterprise applications and services

  • Assume technical ownership of middleware platforms, microservices, and backend applications, ensuring architectural consistency, operational stability, and adherence to engineering standards

  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for integration technologies, collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners to define solution specifications and deliver high-quality services

  • Provide advanced technical support for production environments, including root-cause analysis, incident resolution, defect remediation, and third level (L3) support activities

  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating and adopting modern engineering practices, integration patterns, development frameworks, and emerging technologies while contributing to strategic technology decisions

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline

  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in Java-based software engineering, including Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Apache Camel, messaging platforms (JMS), and database design

  • Strong expertise in enterprise integration architectures, web service technologies (REST/SOAP), microservices, API-driven solutions, and event-driven design patterns

  • Proven understanding of software engineering best practices, including solution design, code quality governance, automated testing, peer reviews, CI/CD practices, and secure software development

  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, software development acceleration platforms, or applied AI technologies is considered a strong advantage

  • Strong skills in English (for collaboration with teams and management in Switzerland)
