Job description
Data warehousing architecture: develop and implement scalable, efficient architectures for data storage, retrieval, and analysis to meet business requirements
Integration oversight: manage the integration of the data warehouse with various internal and external data sources, business systems, and applications
Performance optimization: monitor and enhance the data warehouse's performance to handle large datasets and complex queries efficiently
Data security and compliance implementation: design and enforce security protocols to protect data, ensuring compliance with relevant data protection regulations like GDPR and CCPA
Leadership and guidance: provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams, offering guidance in the design, development, and deployment of data warehousing solutions
Job requirements
BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
Data warehousing expertise: Proven experience in designing scalable, high-performance data warehousing solutions, including data modeling and ETL processes
Expertise in data integration: hands-on experience with integrating data from various sources such as databases, cloud platforms, and business applications
Performance optimization skills: strong skills in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting for large-scale data environments
Security and compliance: knowledge of data protection regulations and experience implementing security and compliance measures
Leadership and communication: ability to lead technical teams and collaborate with stakeholders
Technical expertise: proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), data warehousing platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery), and ETL tools (e.g., Apache Kafka, Talend)
Proficient in English to collaborate effectively with teams and management based in Switzerland
