LEAD MECHANICAL ENGINEER

  • On-site
    • Rīga, Rīga, Latvia
  • €4,000 - €6,500 per month
  • Comino

Job description

Mission

You will own the mechanical design of Comino products and act as a hands-on lead for our

hardware development. You will design compact devices and subsystems, integrate mechanics,

electronics and cooling, and work closely with Production, QA, Test Lab and R&D IT to bring

world-class products into mass production.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Own mechanical design & product integration

  • Lead the mechanical design of compact devices, integrating enclosures, cooling and electronics into manufacturable products.

  • Act as a “playing coach”: combine hands-on design work with coordination of tasks within a small cross-functional engineering team.

  • Collaborate daily with R&D IT, Production, Quality, Test Lab and Product teams to turn product ideas into serial products and continuous improvements.

  • Support the Engineering team in the development and modification of Comino products, including 3D modelling, drafting, calculations and management of engineering data.

Job requirements

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

Education & core experience

  • A relevant degree in engineering.

  • Strong experience in mechanical design of multi-component products.

  • Experience designing parts and assemblies using various manufacturing technologies and materials.

  • Good command of engineering drawings in accordance with ISO standards and GD&T.

  • Good knowledge of mass-production engineering documentation release and approval processes.

  • Experience preparing technological and assembly instructions.

  • Experience with precise measurements of equipment and components (±0.05 mm tolerances).

Ways of working & soft skills

  • You are comfortable taking a broadly formulated technical goal and turning it into a concrete plan.

  • You proactively collect missing information from colleagues and other departments instead of waiting for fully specified tasks.

  • You enjoy being a hands-on engineer while also coordinating others, and you are ready to take responsibility for the overall result, not just your own tasks.

  • You communicate clearly, can explain and defend your engineering choices, and are ready to work closely with colleagues from Production, QA, Test Lab and R&D IT.

  • You are systematic and disciplined in managing engineering data, documentation and tasks.
