Job description

  • Identify, initiative, manage, coordinate, handle budget, operate and assess internal as well as

    external projects.

  • Lead, guide, and professionally manage the work of the Project Advisor.

  • Maintain and develop networks with relevant partners in Latvia (and in the Baltics), the Nordic

    countries and the countries of the Baltic Sea region.

  • Advising Latvian institutions, organisations and individuals on relevant Nordic Funds and

    grant schemes.

  • Maintain regular contacts with sector advisers in Copenhagen, Nordic institutions, and

    other NCM offices.

  • Monitor and analyse relevant trends and policies.

  • Organise conferences, seminars and outreach activities.

  • Take a part in PR activities and in preparing yearly communication plan in cooperation with

    the Communication Advissor.

Job requirements

  • A higher education degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience – 10 years in a similar position or in a related field within embassies, public

    institutions, private companies, chambers of commerce, or similar organisations.

  • Proven track-record in initiating, leading, and managing large-scale projects (including

    budgeting, coordination, and evaluation).

  • Excellent leadership qualities with a strong track-record in mentoring and team management.

  • Strong networking skills, excellent communication and presentation skills (both written and

    spoken).

  • Ability to work independently and proactively, applying strategic and analytical thinking to

    identify opportunities and drive new initiatives.

  • Fluency in Latvian and English, both written and verbal (knowledge of a Nordic language is a

    plus, but not mandatory) for communication with the team and international partners.
