TECHNICAL ENGINEERS

• Supporting customers and partners with installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Luxriot software and related systems.

• Working with support tickets, analysing technical issues and helping customers find reliable solutions.

• Investigating software, hardware, network and system behaviour using logs, Windows Event Logs, services, system information and other diagnostic tools.

• Reproducing reported issues in the Riga lab using IP cameras, servers, access control systems, video analytics tools and other relevant hardware or partner software.

• Communicating with developers and QA engineers when a case requires deeper investigation, a workaround or a software fix.

• Recommending suitable hardware, software or system configurations based on customer needs and project requirements.

• Learning how large-scale video systems are designed, tested and maintained, including systems with many cameras, high data volumes and strict up-time requirements.

We are looking for people with a strong technical foundation, an engineering mindset, and a readiness to learn.

Required background:

• Relevant education in computer engineering, electrical engineering, IT, telecommunications, or a related technical field.

• Experience in a role connected to technical support.

• Good understanding of PC hardware, operating systems and network fundamentals.

• Understanding of IP networking concepts such as IP addresses, subnets, network adapters, port forwarding, VPN and data throughput.

• Analytical thinking, responsible attitude, discipline and professional communication style.

• Good written and spoken English for working with documentation, IT systems and customers all around the world.

• The following would be considered advantages:

  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or similar certification.

  • Experience with security/CCTV/access control systems.

  • Familiarity with video codecs, compression, audio/video data formats.
